weight of 4'7" ronix carbon thruster?

    weight of 4'7" ronix carbon thruster?

    Looking for a real world number as to the weight of the 4'7" Carbon Thruster. Several of the fin boxes (unused!) on mine have delaminated and it has taken on water. I want to try and dry it out and see how close I can get it to the original weight before I re-glass it. So if you have one could you please weigh it and give me an idea of what I'm shooting for? Thanks in advance!

    My board is not nearby, but Amazon shows it around 15-20 lbs.

    It looks like that board is no longer in their lineup? No 2016 model?

      Yes board has been discontinued. BTW I rode the new Honeycomb Powertail (4'5") at SurFest and really liked it. IMO it far surpassed the Thruster. I have had a hard time finding any documented weight for the Thruster. I also take documented weights with a grain of salt. I am just looking for a real world comparison. After dry docking the board for over two weeks I am down to 11lbs with no fins. This is just a bathroom scale so not super accurate. The board still seems slightly heavy to me but that may be due to the fact that I picked up an Inland Surfer Keenan Surf Pro 132 which is listed at 5lbs but on my scale weighs 8.5lbs with fins. So if anyone has a Thruster... please take it on the scale with ya! Thanks again!

        That is super heavy^^^^you got a full sponge there. I have a 15 Carbon Thruster 5-1 and it comes in just under 6lbs.

          Thanks for the info! The numbers off my bathroom scale are more for a relative comparison as I do not believe that scale to be very accurate, esp with low weights. I just did not feel that the Thruster should be 3 lbs more than the Inland Surfer. We will see what another two weeks does I will be taking bets on how long it goes till it disintegrates.

            The Amazon weight would be the shipping weight.

            They will not be standard, they are variable. Each board is different. However, the difference will only be a few ounces.

            The 4'7" should weigh in between 5.5 and 6lbs. Some may be up to 6.5 if they went heavy on the gloss and paint. Delamination and the fin plugs breaking out are a big problem for the board. I have fixed more than I remember.
