James Walker in Hong Kong behind an RZ2

I haven't posted here on TO.com in ages and thought folks might enjoy a few pictures behind an RZ2. James is over in Hong Kong doing some coaching for one of his clients there and they own an RZ2. James quickly texted that they are surfing in some protected deep water bay there, but it's salt water and the buoyancy is different than fresh water, plus million $ yachts seem to mess up the water. Those wakeboarders think THEY have it tough with our surf boats, just try talking to some billionaire industrialists about his wake interfering with your surfing.

Small world that James would travel half a world away and being surfing a Tige.

This is a group shot at a restaurant just above the protests in HK. James is the one in the plaid shirt.

BTW: I have thought about surfing down at Hilton Head in saltwater just to give a go but no boats down there and long way to take the boat.

James is trying to talk one of the folks that is hosting him, to fire up a mega yacht for surfing, but I guess it's not quite that easy. They are heading out on a Natique, G21 or 3, I guess it was yesterday. James was saying that they have paid staff for the boats, so there is a rope guy and a driver. The folks that were out to wakesurf, just wakesurfed and that was it. I also reminded him that he needs to get over THAT pretty quickly when he returned to the states.

Duncan, no it looks to be an orange gelcoat with grey and white interior. I'm having to swipe pictures off of James IG account, so I apologize for the poor quality.

Not sure how I got that second picture in there, anyway, it's a Ferrari 458 Italia with the Carbon Sports package - who wouldn't get the carbon sports package, right? James gets shuttled around in that.

One last IG swipe. I guess this is the boat that James tried to get them to surf, but was a no go. It's acting as the staging boat instead. Maybe their pontoon was in the shop or something?

Pretty cool. Small group over there of pretty dedicated riders. Everyone, I have worked with has been very gracious and enthusiastic.
I always joke about how wakesurfing in the US is not a typical activity of the poor or impoverished, but in HK it is a whole different ball game.

Good time to be there with the National Day holiday.

James is really liking the folks there, as well as the island itself. He is talking some business with them, too. Fun productive trip overall and who can go wrong wakesurfing?! James was saying, briefly, that the protests kind of put a damper on the shopping over National Day, but his hosts showed him some local culture and he was able to do a little shopping away from the larger protests sites.

Dang! Those people are loaded! Is he sure that he wants to come back? Maybe they will adopt him and give him a huge allowance that he can use towards new board R&D back in the US.

Oh darn! I had a 2013 RZ2 in stock a while back that went to the Hong Kong Dealer. That would have been cool to see it over there. I was told that the guy buying it had a Z3 but he kept it on the north send of the bay and stays on the south end often and so he bought the RZ2 to keep there. Must be nice!
