    Sold my Tige' upgrade to...?

    Hey guys,

Haven't posted anything in a long time... basically just plain happy with my Tige' 20' Switch V. Custom modifications resulted in a wave that was admired by all my buddies. I hated to see it go but I run a wakeboard / wakesurf program and the 8 person capacity was always being exceeded, not safe for kids and risk of a healthy fine! Long story short, we sold it recently and now we are shopping for a replacement.

I've demoed the RZR and R20... Nice boats. I wouldn't have to upsize my boat lift and the handling was similar to my old boat. Surf wake... Steeper than what I'm used to even with excessive weight shifting. Probably something I'd get used to over time.

Malibu, Nautique, Sanger and Supreme have all put in some very tempting offers but I don't know that I really want to give up the Tige' ownership. The Z3 is way too big for us and I'm almost afraid that the RZR is too small. I don't know why Tige' made the RZR only 94" wide. I haven't heard very many good things about the Z1 wave.

    What would you guys do?

The Z1 puts out a great surf wave, when it came out, it was the cleanest out of the box wave there was IMO. Are you looking for brand new or used? Why not an RZ2? 8 to 10 people fit pretty comfortably on the RZ2 and it puts out great wakes.

We did the same thing and sold our 20V. Gunna get a 2010 or newer RZ2 or 22ve. More room and options.

I'm primarily shopping for new boats... the RZ2 is about $15k out of my price range. I heard that Tige' is reshaping the Z1 hull to be more like the Z3 hull. Any truth to this?

The cheapest options for me are the Supreme V226, Sanger 237 and a Malibu VLX, but like I said, I love my Tige' and I have never had a single issue with it. Not sure what to expect our of these other brands.

Neither the Supreme or the Sanger have dealers near by, or actually even in the state but for $8k less than the RZR...?

Do you need the boat right now? If not, maybe wait until the spring boat shows and see what kind of a deal you can get My dealer has a '12 RZ2 they are trying to sell that they've had since the boat show, maybe it's the deal you're looking for. It's a beautiful boat in person!

I might be tempted to sell mine....got a big landscape project coming....I think the 343 is perfect....Once you get the 1235 prop on it...it pulls out of the hole like a mule and still tops out at 41.8 mph according to the guages. I was not happy with the stock prop, but the shark sold me his 1235 and It made the boat a whole new animal!

OMG, sell your boat to put in landscaping that will require all of your formerly-on-the-boat time to maintain the yard???

HA! Nope, I have a service that will do that for 62 clams a week!

But I may need the extra cash.....the front yard and grass was 75k plus the irrigation system...which was 12k. The back yard patio is 25k alone....so I could be tempted to cash out for now. Id buy another once the funds recoup!

I cannot imagine a worse tradeoff.
