    Soulcraft double winged diamond tail...

kneeboard. No really! Not like on a rope, but a wakesurf kneeboard.

This is the second in my "I hate boring wakesurf boards" projects. The first bring the Thumb from the folks at TWP. Jeff Wahlers at Soulcraft boarding thought long and hard about an unusual project that would showcase his work and offered up the kneeboard.

It's principally shaped and as you can see the diamond tail and double winger...and it's designed to be ridden on your knees!

Alright, what are the dimensions of that thing?

I've been known to tear up a kneeboard although, its been a long time since that type of ride went down. I've had some kneesurfing success on the old Landlock but, its been a few years since I've done that.

I'm loving these "cool tool" threads. Thanks for doing these and bringing some flava to the table. Rock, rock on.

@ jbort - thanks! No, the pop bomb is different.

@ Nickypoo - thanks! I was really getting bored with the new offerings. The biggest differences seemed to be color.

Isn't the concept fun? We'll have to see what it rides like on our knees. Opens some possibilities for kids and also I was thinking folks with foot/ankle injuries. You're welcome to try this one too!

On the Landlock, I found myself riding way more far forward than I originally expected. I think a lot of it is due to having your knees in place of your front foot and all ten toes in place if your back foot. You end up leaning really far forward or really far back to control your speed. No matter what you do, you can't shuffle back and forth to find the right spot real quick. Without the ability to just slide your hips out over either foot to control speed, it ends up being much harder than you though it was going to be. Youre stuck in one spot and forced to make would swings with your upperbody to get anything done. It looks rediculas and everyone in that has a great time because if it.

Yeah that makes sense, everything is done more from the middle. I rode a few when I was a kid, like in 6th grade or so, but kneelo's weren't cool, so I never really appreciated them. I can imagine that getting them to track and turn is going to require exaggerated movements on our wakes. That'll call for video!
