Longest Wakesurfing Record & Crossing the Panama Canal

Gary Saavedra set 2 Gusiness Word Records. 41.3 miles wakesurfing and took almost 4 hours. Too bad its on the wrong brand of boat! Ha jk. Very cool though!

    Very cool
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

I have a problem with this record, because during the late summer Warrick Bell of Saltess Surfer went 24 hours plus a few minutes to try and set the record. He was required to change drivers and medical personnel during gas stops and somewhere in that, there was a technical screw up so he didn't get the record, but literally he rode for 24 hours except when Guiness required the safety stops and refueling.

I hope he is able to get the recognition he deserves, I know he was arguing with Guiness over it.

That aside, it's good to see wakesurfing getting some press!

          Warrick deserves that record.

Wow, that is pretty impressive... almost 4 hours of wakesurfing.
My wife did about 7 miles a couple of years ago, it took about 45 minutes.
