Last generation Z3 Hull surf setup (2024 Z3)

Hola forum - it's been a minute. Looking into upgrading 2018 R23 (2 generations ago Z3 hull style) to 2024 Z3. I have the 2018 R23 dialed in - with full ballast in back ~80/30 in front weighted towards surf side, and an extra ~1200# of lead ballast - all in the back - mostly evenly weighted (except about 150 of that in cockpit for crew counterbalancing). What i don't really see much information on here about is if this newer version of Z3 hull responds the same as that older generation - that is, you slam it with junk in the trunk and the wave just gets better. Anyone have any thoughts on this? This version of Z3 is a full 1000# heavier dry weight (~5300#) than the older version, but a few videos i've seen online the stock wave looks meh. I would say the same was true for my stock R23 (z3), but when we slammed it with weight (And changed the old smaller taps plates for GSA), it really came alive. We aren't trading out for the wave b/c it still performs, boat is just starting to show its age in other areas. So... thoughts anyone? Excited to see what the heavier boat can do but being something of a wave snob now i hate to go backwards.
Working...
