Suggestions for 2019 Tige R23 ballast setup to surf

New boat to me and new to waksesurfing

I have the upgraded ballast bags that total about 3500 lbs and I also have 1000 lbs of lead . Most of the time there will be 2-4 people on the boat (including driver.)

My first question is do you think all the lead is necessary and contributes positively to a good surf wave or is it overkill? Second question is how do you distribute your lead bags and ballast tank load? Tab setup? Speed?

if you haven't already figured this out - yes. All lead weight you have is great. Load it in the back under the bags, you can also put some in the lockers, but all in the back for sure. Run surf 4, taps 3. Full water ballast in rear; front about 80/40 or 80/30. Speed 11.2 - 11.6 (faster = longer wave), but you can play with speed. down to 10.6 will be huge but short. up to 12+ will also work and will lengthen the wave. Happy surfing!
