You will get alot of people that like the PTM Edge mirror (and rightly so!).

I went a little more budget friendly but still not cheap when you factor in the mount.

and then I needed to get the parts to tower mount it from Monster. I went with Monster mount due to price and quick release which works well.

For the CIPA or the PTM with the Monster mounts you need:

    and

    http://www.monstertower.com/CIPA-Mir...-p/mir-ext.htm

I believe they both use a ball and socket mount, so you can always upgrade the mirror head to a PTM later. The CIPA mirror is very clear and if you haven't used one of these convex mirrors, its amazing how much more you can see with a rider in tow.

EDIT- if you do buy a tower mount and go with Monster, Call them to confirm, I think thats the one I bought but there is one that will work if the tube has a bend to it and one that needs it straight. They recommended the one that can go on a tube with a slight bend after looking at pictures of my tower. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone, although I don't think it was July when their season is likely rocking and rolling

Stingreye, Thanks for the feedback.... I have the arms that attach to my tower and I'm even ok with the mirror, but the part of the mirror that attaches to the arm seems stripped-out and want stay in place so it's a pain.

Cool! Upload a pic maybe someone will know a fix or a good replacement. The good news is that the tower arms are pricey so at least you have that covered!

I have attached two pics. The plastic is tightened up as much as possible. It seems it is more of a poor design.

I wonder if this is the stock replacement:
            http://www.amazon.com/CIPA-01300-COM...ds=CIPA+Mirror

From the description, I can't tell if it includes the plastic part to tighten down on that or not.
Good news is that its $25.39

That looks like one that would work for sure..... and it's very reasonably priced. I think I'll give it a try.

I like the mirrors that attach to the window. We've had ours for 14 years and it still works great.
