Slalom skiing behind 2006/7 24ve or Malibu 23lsv?

I used to competitively slalom ski and have had a Mastercraft Prostar 205v which was a sweet slalom ski boat. Our next boat was an '02 xstar which also skied pretty well considering its design purpose. We have sold the xstar and are now looking at an '06/'07 Tige 24ve primarily for wake surfing. With the TAPS system, will I be able to enjoy an occasional slalom ski or will the wake be too much at 34-36mph? We are also considering an '06/'07 Malibu 23lsv. Anyone have experience slalom skiing behind both these boats? How would they compare?

You will be able to ski but hard to run the course with the 24ve.

Of they two boats you have listed, neither one of them will produce a competition skiable wake. So, go with the one that is going to surf better - the 24 Ve.

I have an 06 ve and ski behind it often. I normally ski in in the 32 to 34 range and find the wake manageable to cross at full speed. If you ski at 34 to 36 the wake is even flatter. It also helps to ski with the rope at 15' off and some weight in the bow.
