Impellor gone again

If it makes you feel better surfdad my boat eats serpentine belts on a regular basis,no impellers though.

There's a fix for this. I think Moki had the same problem with his after he replaced his alternator. On some Mercruisers, the alignment was off and so it would burn up belts like there's no tomorrow. My friend had the same problem on his 21v.

An engine will sometimes roll backwards about a 1/4 turn when it is shut off. The cause of the back-roll is compression in one of the cylinder. As it rolls back, the veins of the impeller will flip. When the engine is restarted, it will sometimes correct it's self, bind up and cause the belt to slip, or just turn in the wrong direction till you notice the engine running hot.

mine made the belt slip. It happened in conjunction with me hitting something with my prop. Was wondering if it was connected.
