    Flex Hose Torn

I have a 98 Pre2200i. The flex hose, that is in the storage compartment infront of the drivers feet, that brings in the air from the vent by the windshield, is torn. What is the hose for? (The heater?)

Also, where does it go after it goes into the floor? Does the hose just fit into the floor?

Also, is the taps reservoir located in the storage compartment under the dash forward of the drivers feet?

If you are talking about the hose in the cockpit area, it is the air intake for the inner hull. When you turn on your blower, you can feel the air being sucked through the hose. When you are underway, the air is forced through the vent so you have a constant air flow through the inner hull. It keeps dangerous gases from building up in the engine compartment. It is very easy to replace and costs less than 75 cents per foot.
It is my understanding that the TAPS reservoir is under the dash but I have never looked for it in my boat. I have the same boat as you do.
