So my boat has stumbled and fell on its face under hard acceleration (pulling surfer up). May be idling a little rough too... any ideas? Seems to run fine at cruising speeds 30+/-...

Sounds like secondary ignition. When was the last major tune up, cap, rotor, plugs and wires? -
I just got it a couple weeks ago. Previous owner said that it was at the beginning of summer it got new plugs. I know the guy pretty good so I don't think he'd hoodoo me on purpose... I'd like to think he wouldn't anyway.Comment

Plugs within a month, wires within 3 years, never a cap... now I feel somewhat foolish having asked him if it was a complete tuneup and his saying yes. I should've been more thorough...Comment
