Okay, to check the fuel pump, there's a Schraeder valve located at the front of the fuel rail. This is the test port for the fuel system. Your fuel pressure should be 32 psi +\-2psi constantly. I doubt it's the pump unless your regulator failed and its running above 50psi but there's an ignition module in the distributor that should be updated that causes some of the same issues. If your distributor has 2 wires coming out of it, white with red stripe and white with green stripe, then you need to update the module to the new three wire unit. The new unit has an additional black ground wire that needs to be connected to the block somewhere. Also, be sure the plug wires are in correct sequence. Clockwise on the distributor 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2.
