    Mis-fire & loss of power at/above 3800 rpm

I have an '08 22VE with MP 5.7 liter engine with 1160 hours. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a flutter in the engine, and attributed it to bad fuel/water it the fuel. I also had a miss and loss of power @ 3800 rpm/ 30 mph. I changed the G-force filter(what a PITA) and changed the spark plugs and also filled the tank with fresh fuel. That solved the flutter, but I still have the miss/loss of power at 3800 rpm. If I pull the throttle back a little (3600 rpm) the miss loss of power goes away. Any Suggestions?

Ever figure this out? I'm experiencing the same thing.

I ended up taking it to a boat dealer. The shop foreman hooked up his computer, and said the cam was out of time. Anyway, he told me to come back after lunch, and true to his word boat was ready and I have not had any issues since.
