Black Scorpion 330hp will not pull after half throttle from idle to wfo @2500rpm(cold-165)doesn’t change. 30psi fuel pressure,58psi oil, 1-10psi water pressure (idle to wfo) ,15 map, 100% tps, comp 150 on 5-7, 160 on 1-3-2-4-6-8, 3 hrs on head job and gaskets. Cams not flat, lifters look great. Solid spark from coil to dist, cylinder fire is pulsing good, fuel injectors atomize good, not starving for fuel. No codes. Guys I’m at a loss, what am I missing?

Need more info:
1) Why head gaskets?
2) Was it timed correctly after the head gasket job? 10*BTDC using the computer in base timing mode.
3) Has the ignition module in the distributor been replaced? Look for white with green stripe, white with red stripe and black coming out of the bottom of the distributor. If there's no black, it's original. Change it if it hasn't been done.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

Raw water pump locked up and burnt the belt off. Compression was low from leaking head gaskets. Base timing at 10deg adv. ignition module has not been changed. I don’t feel it’s an ignition problem, because from idling to wot there’s nothing past half throttle. From coming out of the hole to plowing to planed out. It’s running at basically 50% power from 600-700 idle rpm to 2500rpm. I’ll throw an ignition module at it to see if it resolves the issue. Thanks!

JJon Did you ever figure this out? I have a Black Scorpion in an 02 centurion that is also exhibiting the exact some condition. I figured out that the fuel pressure was dropping replaced the pumps and fuel pressure regulator and now every component of the fuel system and it is still acting up. I then wired a stand alone relay to the pumps thinking that the ECU was shutting off or there was some weird voltage drop happening but the issue still happens. I did not have the pressure gauge hooked up but it was the same behavior. I am worried that I was sold a faulty high pressure pump off the shelf.
