boat cover - vented pole or hangtyte??

    ordering a new cover for a 2005 Switch i.

The hangtyte system looks like it does a good job of keeping water from ponding on the cover. but just wondering if a vented pole is better because of, well, the vent!

also, someone reassure me that it is ok to cut a hole in a brand new sunbrella cover

I added a hook to the top of my vented pole, so now i have vented hanging.

Hated my old pole type covers as they would always sag or pole would get knocked over. Love the new hanging type as you can adjust them accordingly and they stay up in wind and rain. Besides having to always have the poles stored in boat also.
