    Water spots

wasn't there a thead on waterspots and how to get them off? i was cleaning my boat today, and wanted to get the spots off, wax, poliser and some polishing compound didn't take them off(I didn't want push too hard or use an orbital for fear of damaging the gel coat) I thought someone said something about using a mixture of vinigar and water or something. Any advice is appreciated. I wipe my boat down after every use, but I think these are from just drying while driving around.

    ducky

it's all you need. most marine or boat dealers should carry it.

I use a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and bottled water - sprayed on and wiped off as soon as we put the boat on the trailer. I've been doing this for a few years now and it works perfect. A jumbo bottle of white vinegar at Costco is pretty cheap.

I've used ducky before. I'll get it for this season, but what about the spots that are on there now and I want to get them off? Any ideas?

Try lime away or vinegar to remove the spots you have now.

The vinegar should take them off - unless the boat's been waxed over the top of them. If that's the case, you might need to use a polish.
