Just had my second bad experience with a Globe Impeller in the past two years . . . seems that the center hub keeps "spinning out" and creates a huge issue for over-heating for my 2001 21 V . . . After calling the company, I found out that they have recalled this model, the 2001, that fits on the Bravo pump for Mercruisers . . . not good at all.
I suggested that they contact the folks who have purchase this impeller model to give a warning to remove it immediately and replace with a Merc part or Sherwood. I didn't feel confident that they would take my suggestion so I'm doing it myself to save your weekend or for that matter, your engine. . . they have a design problem with this model and won't be fixed for a few months. For me, after only 10 hours this season with a new one and if fails, I'm back to the Mercs . . . hope this warning saves your day . . .
