Finally off to the dealer to get the motor scanned and timed.
Been having a problem w/ the timing and an alarm since we've dropped the new motor in. Anytime we adjusted the distributor the ECM just retarded the timing again. Could just be a bad knock sensor, but we'll see... gotta see what code the sucker is throwing. Went through every little option we could think of to figure out what was tripping the code. One thing's for sure... I know everything in this boat is good now....lol.
I wish boats would just include an OBD hook-up so that any fool could read the comps in these things and clear the codes.
