Welcome to the board. I am potentially looking to install a depth finder, but don't have much room in the dash. Are you looking at one you would mount on top of the dash, aka sort of free standing? There was a thread a couple of weeks ago... I will see if I can find the link.

Any pics of your new boat? How many hours? Mind me asking approximately what you paid?

        Location

My gauge is 2-1/8" digital dial gauge. I have a blank plate located on my dash opposite of my switch plate where I plan on locating it.

My boat has 208 hours and is in as near new as I've seen on boats that are less than 2 years old. Was originally owned by and older Engineer and his wife.

Will try the bell housing location, was also thinking directly behind the ski pole to prevent as much "interference" from the rotating/drive line area.
