Shifter cable is very stiff this year, lubed the best I could, but think its time for a new one! Anyone have any ideas on the prcedure?

I just replaced mine on my 99 Idrive. I only replaced the one going to the engine and not the cable going to the transmission. Its not that bad. IF its the same, there are two cables going into the shifter. Both cables are only held there by cotter pins. IF you pull those they come out pretty easily. -
I was able to fix the problem, looks like i had cable bound up from when I replaced the steering cable! I lifted the fuel tank & ran cables in lowest part of the hull. ALL GOOD NOW!Comment
