    Throttle level / Gear shifter

I will need to remove the throttle level so that i can remove the panel behind it. I haven't looked at it yet so it may be simple and straight forward but just encase there is a certain way it needs to be removed I thought I would ask. The boat is a 07 RZ2.

There is an Allen set screw on the bottom you need to remove to slide the handle off. Also be aware that the Taps switch wiring runs through the handle. If you want to completely remove the handle you can look under the dash for the wire connection plug. there are 3 wires and i believe they are red blue and green. If you don't need the handle completely removed, you can slide it off the shaft and pass it through the hole in the panel and slide it back on the shaft until you are ready to reinstall panel.

I just pulled my panel off a few days ago. I was able to get it off without moving the throttle lever at all. I just worked with it a little and got it to pass through the hole in the panel.
