    Bennett Taps Actuator

I have a bad taps actuator sending unit. How does the wiring disconnect for removal?

Back up here. Are you sure the sending unit on the actuator is bad and not the taps module under the dash?

You should have 240ohms across both green wires. If you get 240, actuator is good and the taps module is bad.
    Oh Yeah!

To answer your main question, you cut the green wire near the transom and splice into it with the new actuator. Go ahead and cut it first. Then do an ohm reading there to validate the actuator is bad. You may get lucky and just have a bad connection along the path. The wires (in one green casing) run down the starboard side of the boat to the dash harness.
        Oh Yeah!
