    1997 Pre 2100WT - Taps Repair

Have a stuck Taps plate on 1997 Pre 2100Wt. Are the actuators from this vintage electric or hydraulic actuators? Anyone have a wiring or piping (if hydraulic) diagram showing control from the switch to the actuators.

When the switch is in the up position I can hear a faint whirring sound which I am assuming is a hydraulic pump. Switch in down position, nothing.

    Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the site. Have you checked the level of fluid in the reservoir?

Welcome. Double check your fluid as TA said, if that's not it and you can hear it in one position but nothing in the other, its probably 1 of 2 things. First check the relays to make sure 1 of them isn't bad, easiest way is to just swap them with each other to see if that changes the anything. If not its the tiny wires leading to the switch in your throttle handle. It would be the small white or red wire. The wires are pretty small and are know to brake. Diagram is attached. You can also jumper from the small black wire to the small white or red to double check that it all works.

Great ideas! Thanks for the help. Two more questions:
        Where are the relays located?
        Where is the reservoir located?

Been way too long. The relay and wiring from the shifter to the relay is under the dash. The reservoir should be located on the starboard side, back hatch area behind the back bulkhead.
          Oh Yeah!

Couldn't find pic of the pump. Mine has a carpeted box over it.

Here is the best prior thread about the subject. I hope it helps.
