Wake Designs Tower Aluminum

Have some cracking in my tower near where the tower bolts/unbolts to fold it forward. Looks like its caused by the stress of the weight of the boards in the racks. I have contacted a local weld shop and they were asking me what the alloy is of the aluminum tubing? Anyone know?

I'd go straight to the source for that one. Around here the most common are 5052 and 6061. The 5052 is not heat treated and is much more bendable than the heat treated 6061.
