2000 V21 rider with TAPS gauge not working since bought used

This is the year to detail and fix it all. My TAPS function but the gauge has never worked. I looked a the wiring to the gauge and question the previous owners connection to try and solve it himself, which included replacing the gauge.

Could someone please post their TAPS gauge wiring. The 2 green wires are connected to the power and the ground connection which does not make since. Here is the current wiring. I have searched but have not been able to find the wiring for this gauge. [ATTACH]

None of the diagrams I have accurately show this. But if you have 12v across the green wires the sender might be knackered too.

The gauge I think is made by faria and they should be able to help if tige don't.

The green wires should have a resistance that changes with position.

From memory the power and ground goes on the middle terminals and the green on the lower ones.

Just in case you need a replacement, this might work.

I had the same problem with my '01 21V when i bought it about 6 years ago too. TAPS worked, but not the gauge. The gauge was not the problem. I replace the black plastic cap w/ the coil sending tube on one of the hydraulic rams and it fixed it. Your TAPS system should be Bennett. This is where I got my part. Easy to install. You can tell which ram has the sender by looking inside the transom and the one with a wire and a hydraulic hose going to it has the sender. Hope this helps.
