I will be keeping my boat at a private boat dock with boat lift. Do you guys use a cable or anything to keep your boat secure in case anyone gets any funny ideas? Thanks!

On lift, keys in ignition all summer. Probably stupid, but everyone does it around here.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like bananas!

I just unplug the electric cord on the winch to keep anyone from lowering it and letting it drift off. Other than that never had any issues.
A good set of neighbors is important. Our Neighbors are year round and they keep an eye on everything for us."You're rather attractive for a beautiful girl with a great body."

What's your address!! J/K. I am not worried about theft but feel it is prudent to at least secure the boat to the dock. I at least want to make it a hassle just in case someone had any funny ideas. I am actually surprised at how many don't secure their boats. I was thinking to use a thick cable with lock to loop through the bow eye to the dock but thought I would see what others do.Originally posted by dakota4ce View PostOn lift, keys in ignition all summer.
