Display not updating on 2009 22Ve

Recent purchase (see other thread) and couldn't find any help using search.

A couple times the center display on my boat was not changing (frozen). I was using cruise and it still worked (could tell boat sped up and down with change in set) and the taps was working yet both items on the display were not changing. All other displays/data looked fine on the two outboard gauges.

I cycled ignition (let the display power down) and it came back up.

Any thoughts/help? Thanks

Something I always check first is the terminals on the battery, looking for corrosion, etc. Then I check the connection of the ground wire to the motor. This usually fixes weird electrical problems.
