Ok so we were out today and all was good for a while then I started getting 2 beeps every few min. Everything seemed fine oil temp and all were ok. Then I noticed when I shut the motor of the fuel pump stayed running until I turned the battery switch off. Waited a min. then turned switch back on and it was fine and boat started and ran fine but still 2 beeps every few min. But every time I shut the motor off the fuel pump stayed running? Any ideas?

The beeps indicate theres a code that's been set. Have it scanned but it also sounds like the fuel pump relay is having an issue. Scan it first and go from there.Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine... -

They're related but the computer is detecting either a faulty sensor or an open circuit in the system somewhere. You'll have approximately 90% of full power available but you must put a scanner on it to determine what the problem is.Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...Comment

Had the same thing happen to my 02 tige and it was one of the relays on top of the engine. If I thumped it hard with my finger it would turn the fuel pump off. I replaced it with a new one and has been fine ever since.Comment

I started poking around tonignt and found the electrical connector to the fuel boost pump was loose. Any thoughts if that would cause the problem? And cause the sounding of the alarm?Comment

Possibly. That would show an open/short in the fuel pump circuit which would cause the alarm. It may be coincidence now that the relay was sticking closed and staying on. Bust out the fake a lake and see what happens.Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...Comment

I will test it out tomorrow and see what happens. Am I right thinking that the alarm will not go away until it is cleared by a scanner even if I solve the problem? I'm also going to get a new relay coming ASAP. I will report back after testing tomorrow.

One other question, how do I know which of the 2 relays if the fuel pump one? They both look identical and I can't find it in my manuals cause they say they can be mounted differently?Comment

Ok reporting back for others that this may help. Got the motor scanned today and it looks like the only thing that was in there was either the fuel pump relay or from the loose fuel pump conector. I'm hoping this is all it was and will test it out in the water and see how it goes.Comment

FYI I replaced the fuel pump relay and that solved the fuel pump not shutting off. Still working on my phantom stalling while surfing or crusing at high speed across the lake.Comment
