How to access the bilge pump on Z3?

I have a 2013 Z3 and I'm trying test the bilge pump. I can see it between the engine and transom, but how the heck is anyone supposed to reach it? I removed the side access panel on the starboard aft locker and still can't get at it. I can see that it's a Sahara Auto Bilge, so as far as I know, the only way to test it is to twist the test knob that raises the bilge ball. To do that, I need to either find another way to access it or add three feet to my arm. I'd prefer tips on the first option, but any ideas on the second are also welcome.

The floor lifts up. Flip the middle rear seat forward, open the little hatch and then lift that entire bench/floor combo while standing on the side bench seat.
