Off topic question for the boat techs or anyone handy with mechanics.

Performed an engine swap on a kawasaki jet ski and having a fuel delivery problem. Rebuilt the carb (new gaskets/pump/needle, etc) but thinking I need to fully clean the jets and internals. What is the best way to do this? It's a Keihlin CBKii carb.

NOTE: the engine fires if I put cap full of fuel in each chamber. Fuel getting to the carb and out the return port. Looking down through the flame arrestor and turning the engine over, i can't see any fuel entering so i'm guessing the jets are clogged.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Also check your lines and connections for cracks and leaks. It may be sucking air in somewhere.

Well, did the overnight soak and cleaning. Fuel not getting past the needle and seat. Ordered OEM rebuild kit this time and will try again. Starter fluid into flame arrestor will fire the engine so reeds should be fine. I'm not sure how to check for a vacuum leak but will also explore that. Thanks all!
