I have a 2004 21i Riders Edition that I am trying to add tower speakers to. I am currently stuck at fishing the wires through the base of the tower.
There is 14AWG wire running through the factory hole on the starboard side for the nav light on the tower. I'm not sure if this is factory wiring, it looks like speaker cable and 14AWG seems completely unnecessary for that tiny light.
What I'd like to do is unbolt the tower from the hull and enlarge the hole in the fiberglass.
I was hoping someone could confirm, do the bolts for the tower screw into threaded inserts? Or are there nuts on the end? My concern is that if there nuts on the end of the bolts, how am I going to get them back on.
