Engine runnig rough Help!!!

The anti siphon valve is located right at the fuel tank. It is connected to the fuel line leaving the tank and is screwed into a brass elbow. They are very inexpensive. I only have one battery also, but no stereo. No problems yet.

I think the fuel tank is located at the back under the transom locker.What do I have to remove to access that brass elbow? Is that elbow located right at the tank or is it by the motor?

The fuel tank is located directly behind the rear seat back under the transom locker.
The elbow will be located at the tank. Not the engine.
I can't remember what needs to be removed. I think there is a carpeted cover where the fuel filler hose goes to the tank. Maybe remove a few screws there to remove it. I don't think the whole floor of the transom locker needed to be removed?

I fired up the boat today,the only thing that I changed was the water/fuel seperator(look alright).The boat ran fine.If it was vapor lock why does it only happen once and awhile

Can I clean to see if the Anti Siphon Valve is working without taking it out?Also,if I did take it out should I use pipe dope or Teflon tape?

It will depend on the quality of your gas and the temperature in the engine compartment. If you sit for more than a minute, I'd run the blower for a minute or so. That should cure any vapor lock issues.

I would think if it didn't work, it wouldn't start at all.

Is there a way I could hook up a small hose and blow thur it and maybe heard bubbles or something?Maybe the problem all along was vapor lock I will try and run the blower more.Do you know of a way to quiet that thing down.It works so why buy a new one.

All blowers make noise. I'll only run mine just before I start my engine for that reason. As for the small hose, I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

I think I used Teflon tape, but not sure. I would just match what is in there now.

I just replaced my anti siphon valve, I think it was less than $10.
