    Radio won't turn off

My ignition is off, key removed on my 22iR, yet the radio stays lit.
Even removing the faceplate, the red indicator light stays on.
    Any solutions?
It's a constant battery drain while the boat is in storage.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Mine is wired 'hot' so I can have my tunes without having to power up everything else. I think this is pretty typical. Do you have a battery master switch? This is the only way I have to actually cut power to the stereo and amps.

The power and memory wires may be switched. Look at the back of the deck the yellow wire should have power all the time, the red wire should have power with the key on. Does your deck hold its presets? If not this may be your problem.

2 things, if you push and hold the power button will the face shut off?
the red light is a security light. this is supposed to scare off bad guy's.

With the power button pushed, the face lights stay on.

when you pushed the button did you hold it for about 5 seconds? most new stereo's have this function. why, i have no idea, but it usually works.
is the red security light still on?
