    Perko Battery Switch Settings

I have two batteries with a Perko switch for them. My question is when I am done for the day what setting should I leave the battery at 1, 2, all, or Off? I normally leave it at the "Off" setting but that also does not hold my radio settings and my Faria Pilot Gauge time.

If I leave it at the 1 setting (which I think is not my cranking/starter battery) will that run the battery(s) down?

Leaving it on 1, 2, or all should be fine....I just have my batteries run in parrell with no switch and they are never dead.

matt, you can also try running the power lead for the deck straight to the battery, bypassing the perko switch, this will allow it to keep the memory settings. (there should be one wire that is labelled 12 volt constant or something similar, that's the one you want). The other wire should be something like 12 volt switched which is ok to have run into the perko.

I leave mine in the "both" position, no problems to date.
