    Perfect Pass Question

I have a 2003 21i and would like to find out if you could use the Tige factory installed speedo paddle wheel instead of the Perfect Pass paddle wheel? Has anyone tried it?

I don't think you can. Supposedly the paddlewheel thru-hull will give way more accurate speed holding anyways. I know someone that put a transom paddle wheel on a stearn drive and the perfect pass fluctuates a lot more. I'm sure some of that is the drive type difference, but supposedly alot of it is the transom paddlewheel versus the thru-hull paddlewheel.

Not on a 2003, you will need to use the PP wheel.

The factory paddle wheel runs a 3.5 volt signal and perfect pass runs about 6.0 and up, both are frequecy signals but in a different range.

Thanks for that info. It’s a long story why I wanted to try the Tige paddle wheel but I see that’s not an option.
