    Help With Depth Alarm - 2005 22V

So we have the Tige perfect pass system that shows speed so the original analog speedometer just constantly sits at zero. At the bottom of this gauge is a little digital display that shows "miles" and depth. Every 2 minutes the depth alarm goes off warning of shallow water even when this is not that case. Can anyone help me disconnect it?

Will post pictures in the morning of the display.

    Thanks

Basically you have your depth alarm settings wrong. I don't remember exactly how to set them but you have a minimum depth that the alarm goes off at and a maximum depth that the alarm also goes off at. Make the minimum something sensible and the max something really deep as its pointless! There is also another setting called keel that is meant to be set to the distance between the triducer and the lowest bit of the boat.

I had the same annoying alarm until I figured it out!

Here is a link to the instruction manual for how to adjust it. http://faria-instruments.com/site_manuals/IS0135A.pdf

No speed indication at Faria guage: The transducer for the Faria speedo is the one on the back of the transom starboard side. Check to see if you still have your paddle wheel. If so, check wire connections. Mine never read correctly and was erratic at times. I did a GPS conversion and best mod i ever did. http://www.nauticlaugic.com/ and get the NL4. Its simple to install. I did have some voltage issues but I called the guys at NL and after sending in for a some modification it was working. If you did buy a new transducer and got it working it still wont work as reliable as GPS and new transducer can cost almost as much as the NL4.
