    Temp sending unit wire location?

As part of my cooling system overhaul, I'm replacing the temp sending unit in my 2004 6.0L PCM. The one that is in place is missing a washer that is shown in the parts manual. The parts manual shows the washer arrangement but of course no wire. My question is, between which two washers in the stack does the wire go?

Coming from the base of the unit out, there is a large disc that appears to be plastic, then a regular round washer, a lock washer and nut. It seems obvious to me that the wire won't go between the nut and lock washer, but that's it for obvious as far as I'm concerned.

Does the wire go all the way at the base? Between the plastic disc and reg. washer? Or between the reg washer and the lock washer?

    Thanks in advance all!

The plastic washer is an isolator from the base of the sensor so the wire terminal end won't touch anything on the outside of the sensor and ground out. The plastic washer goes on first and then the wire on top of that, then metal washers and the nut.
