I need some help wiring my new Speedo *Pics*

I just got my Faria back from warranty and need a little hand. I seem to have a couple more wires than the diagram shows. Trust me, I'm kicking myself for not taking photos of the disassembly. What's throwing me off is the diagram says the bare wire and the ground go together. What do you make of this? Also, in the last photo, what is that disconnected wire and should I reconnect?

What did they charge for the warranty work? What was the turn around?

I just noticed that the sensor wire has the blue and the white cut. The brown, bare, and black are in one connector. I'm confused.

It was $30 and it took about 3 weeks. I actually think they sent me a new one.
