    Dual batteries

I bought a used 07 22VE that has dual batteries. The battery switch has 1, 2, 1&2. Is it best to run the boat on the 1 position or is it better to run the boat on the 1&2 setting? Also does anyone have a battery wiring picture and or diagram of their dual battery set up? I believe everything is set up correctly but just wanted confirmation. Thanks in advance

That boat would not have come with that setup, so its either been converted, or it was a single bank expanded into a dual bank.

Use; If the boat has a cranking battery and a deep-cycle, then the ideal use would be to crank and run on the cranking battery and anchor on the deep-cycle. Which position is the cranking and deep-cycle? Installers choice, so dont assume. If batteries are both dual purpose, then rotate between banks every other outing. If you anchor for a long time and run one bank low, you can run in the 1+2 position to put some charge back in the deep-cycle.

The wiring is pretty straight forward. EVRYTHING but the auto bilge wire gets wired to the switch's common output post. One battery is grounded to the boat and the other battery is grounded to the first battery.
