How do you test an amp to see if it is working?

    #2
Most amp have a green and red light light. Green light indicates it's got power, ground, remote turn-on, and typically means everything with the amp is working correctly. Red light indicates problem. No light could be no power, ground, or remote turn-on, or an amp fuse is blown.

Do you have a suspected amp problem? what are the symptoms.

No problems, someone gave me the two amps I have in my garage in my other post, and I was wondering how to tell if they were putting out power, short of installing them.

I guess you could power one up with a jump box , and extra set of signal cables, and a speaker to move from chnl to chnl
