Clarion Remote

I am working on a buddys boat and he has the Clarion digital remotes with display. The display is not working or does it light up. I notice it only has the din plug plugged in to it. There is a terminal there also do these remoted need hot and ground for the display to work ??

What Head Unit and remote are you working with? The few that i've installed lately only need a pos (+) and ground for the back-light. The actual display data is all from the head unit.

It may not work with the 475, but not 100% sure.

The rmote works fine there is just no display. is it normal just to have the Din plugged in? I was looking at the manual for these and they show a ground..

When you say "no display" you mean like no radio station, etc?

I know on the CMRC1-BSS remotes, the ground is only for the backlight for dark, dont know about the older ones. If it's a ground, cant hurt to wire it up

Well that did not do it. It was just the back light..
