Doh. That is what I meant. Hey...it was Friday.

The dealer that installed our system used a jacketed multipair cable to pull to the tower. I assume it is easier to pull one larger cable than several wires once you get a pull string through.

Is this kinda what you are running? one of these?

Like Spharis said, 14ga would do fine but you would not have any prob pulling 2 12ga's through either. 100ft will be more than enough. I would pull the wire of the spool, double it over in the middle, tie my string in the fold, and pull it through to the speakers.

I found it easier to pull in stages. Pull all the wire up through the gunwale first, then through to the tower fold, and then to the speaker hole.

All you need for the wire holes are a couple of rubber grommets to finish it off.

2-where are your amps, I used just less than a 100 feet of 14ga on 4 runs.
3-2 12ga will fit through a 7/16 hole. The only holes you will need to drill will be for the wires to drop out of the tower at the speakers and one at the starboard rear leg (see pics in thread "do I have a bad channel) for the wires to pass through the gunwale.

No need for that topic. The weight of the battery in the speaker pods would be a killer to the tower alone.

I used a clotheshanger for the horizontal parts, and floss for the verts (someone on here mentioned the use of floss), and it worked OK.

14AWG will be fine if you run each speaker it's own.

    Here are my concerns:
1-I do not know if 14 gauge is big enough.
2-I don't know how difficult it will be to run 12 gauge and if it will effect me lowering the tower when needed.
3-I don't know if I can stomach drilling a hole big enough for 12 gauge in my new tower.

Being a new boat, new tower and the size of the speakers, I don't know what to do. If I was still in my 05, I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I just don't know how big of a deal it is to have 12 gauge vs 14 for the tower speakers.

I also worry about drilling a massive hole in the tower.

Not sure what tower you have, but I just ran 4 14ga wires through my "E" tower. The hardest part was at the gunwale. Had to drill it out to 9/16 and pull the wire with the tower leg still off to the side, then lower it down and bolt it up. Other than that, there was plenty of room in the tower tubes themselves.
