amp install question

hey i have a couple amps laying around in the storage compartment of my 22i right now. i've been meaning to mount them but keep wondering how long of screws to use so that i won't be punching through the hull of the boat i think tige' puts the stock ones in the same location i'm looking to put these. i'm sure anybody out there who knows what i'm talking about can quickly answer this one. let me know what you guys have or have done. thanks.

Tigé does not put them on the floor, they put them on the side wall of the walk thru.

There is some talk about cutting back the carpet and gluing in a piece of MDF to the wall and mounting your hardware to it. No drilling into the boat.

hahah thats just where mine are currently located... literally laying on the floor. i meant i want to install them where tige' does on the side wall. i like those setups with the wood backing glued in maybe i'll just do that. thanks guys.
