    IP-bus question

Anyone know anything about IP-bus wiring? I've got an ipod adapter for my Pioneer head unit (DEH P6800MP) which uses an IP-bus box. I am considering a wired transom remote. The remote's docs say that uses an IP-bus box inbetween the HU and the remote. Can I "daisy-chain" IP-bus boxes together? In other words, HU -> IP-bus (iPod) -> IP-bus (remote)

Something like the picture below (the red would be the addition of the ipod to the remotes docs.) Is this possible?

Yes, in most cases IP-buses daisy chain. The user manuals for your source unit usually indicate otherwise. IP-buses tend to be specific per brand, so make sure you check the compatability of what you are buying. Some aftermarket controllers are universal for specific models after programming.

Thanks I'll dig into the docs a little more.
