    Josh's 2017 RZX3

We got Josh's new RZX3 in for some upgrades. Adding a little extra boom with a new Wet Sounds Revo-12HP woofer in a custom ported enclosure driven by a Syn-DX2.

Going to wire up the Revo in-boat RGB LEDs as well add an RGB LED ring to the back side of the factory Revo-10FA grill.

Made some room for the new Syn-DX2. All power cabling run and breaker installed. Custom ported enclosure test fit. The challenge is make the box install secure, but not too involved to remove if battery service is required.

What do you cover the box in? Looks like Line X bedlner type stuff.

Its spray-on bedliner. its more rubberized and less course than the line-x. Its mainly for cosmetic as the box is coated in a few coats 2-part marine epoxy inside and out.

OEM installed Revo-10FA is now loaded with a custom RGB LED.

For those that have not already read this in other posts. The 2017's with Revo series wet Sounds speakers already have RGB LEDs that come standard as part of the speaker. Just need to pull the speakers, string your 4-con wire around the boat and wire up the to the speaker's LED pigtail and you have RGB LEDs. Controller needed for RGB, but not single color.

Necessary to extend the width of the OEM amp board by just a little to accommodate the two Syn-DX2 side by side. Marching carpet and test fit.

Roswell Sub-woofer vent in place. REALLY wanted to do a custom one with the Tige wave in the middle. Just couldnt get on the same page with quantity and cost.

Looking awesome Mike. Finally had a chance to take out an rzx3 the other night. Couldnt believe how great the 808s and stock sub sounded for inboats. Used to having rev-10s do their thing, but in boat was amazing. Cant imagine what that's going to sound like when it's done. Hard to tell in first pic but is it running two pairs of 10s or a pair of 10s and 8s??

^^ Have to agree free^ as I think the RZX3 has a great base interior pkg with the 808s and 2 pair of Rev 10 on tower. My dealers worker has one and he cranked it last night I was very impressed even with the sound of the factory sub!

He did say that tige or WS did send out a flash for it from when it was originally new to update the speaker/amp settings. I found it to be plenty of treble and if a person were to add 2 subs it would be a very loud clean sounding system. Rev10 could've used a bit more power but overall I think its a good start point pkg!

@mike looks good other then that roswell grill a simple plastic resin cutout would look so much nicer and not out of place imo but if a customer isn't on board then what can you do! Thanks for posting pics of build!

Nice. Thanks Mike. Didn't even cross my mind earlier but sure is nice not to have such a long run up the gunnel. Whats the color on the rings?? Did you decide on how your sub enclosure is going to secure?? Assuming that thing came with RGB rings in the 10s, lights in tower , and controller, it going to be an AV treat on the water at dusk.

Wrapped it up this morning and delivered it back to the dealer for some service.

Boat came with RGB controller a RGB rings on the tower speakers as well as the acrylic inserts behind the tower panels. The new Revo series in-boats come standard with the RGB LEDs, they just need to be wired up to the controller.

Woofer enclosure is secure in the back with basically tongue and groove (im sure there is a more technical name) and then a couple of aluminum L brackets up from. 2 screws and the enclosure comes right out for access to the battery locker.

                          Install came out awesome!
RE: the RGB lights and controller. I'm asumming it came with the wetsounds controller. If so do the lights come on anytime the stereo is powered on or does the controller have an on and off switch as well? I didn't see that info on wetsounds site and am curious if it needs to be wired to a seperate on/off switch.

Yes, Tige is using the Wet Sounds RGB Music controller. The controller's remote has a power button, so it can be turned on and off regardless of how its wired into the boat. Tige wires the controller's B+ to the "speakers" switch in the TT switch menu. With the use of a relay, the controller can be turned on and off at the same time the stereo is.
