Looks awesome!! What a nice build, wish I was closer.

Not to high jack the thread but I really struggled getting the fitting that attaches to the bag onto the hose. I tried hairdryer, and filed down the fitting but it still split the hose. Any suggestions?

If a hair drier does not get the hose warm enough, you need an actual heat gun. soaking the hose end in boiling water will work, but you cant boil water in the boat unless you have a camp stove like the jetboil.

I highly recommend dropping by harbor freight and find a coupon in the flyer for the heat fun. Should be very cheap and much easier than boiling water.

I read this post and was wondering what this wonderful product heat fun was. I was thinking there may have been a good portable heat source that could be used for camping... then I clicked on the link and found it was a heat gun. Simple typo and I should have guessed, silly me...all excited about a new product There is several minutes of my day I won't get back but I had a good laugh at myself about it.

A blow drier worked for me but running in the house when I could and just rolling the hose over the gas burner on my stove worked well too.

I much prefer a heat gun. I can sit in the boat, put on one fitting, snake the hose as it needs to be, cut it and put the other end on. No getting in and out of the boat, not routing, un-routing and then rerouting the hose.

Thanks to Mike for working his magic on my boat!! I'm picking it up with my son tomorrow and can't wait to get it in the water!!

I bought a heat gun from harbor freight to get the bags and pumps I bought from Mike plumbed in. Worked great, I was able to just keep moving from the pumps all the way to the bags and it made the job soo much easier.

Thanks for the feedback earlier in the thread, I sold my Icon 8's and my REV 10's came in today. I can't wait to get my boat back so I can hang them.

Any updates on this install?
