I do not want to answer for this OP, but in the LED lighting I do, no. I give the LED's thier own 12V switched source.Originally posted by rucks22 View PostThose look awesome. Do the LED's get power from the speaker wires?Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Probably not the best. The ground side of the speaker is not the same ground plane as the battery and electrical system.Originally posted by jzts0214 View PostYes you have to run your own power. I ran power and ground wires but I think you could ground it inside the speakerMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Fiberglass boats do not have a ground plane (chassis) like a car. so the mounting bolt/screw is nto not a ground. The only grounding point is to the battery negative.Originally posted by jzts0214 View PostI was talking about a speaker mounting bolt.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
