Sirius for boat house

I want to get sirius/xm for the boat house and house.What do I need to pick it up at the boat house.I've noticed when I pull in with a sirius boat under the metal roof at the boat house it won't pick up.Do I need some type of antenna on the roof? I hate to research stuff like this,any help out there??I can get a sirius ready stereo to replace the one we have now in the boat house or get one of their's.

This is satellite radio, so it has to see the sky. You have an antenna already, but it doesnt see the sat when you are indoors. You can buy a second antenna and plug it into the boat sat radio. Im not sure which radio you have, but if it is dockable, then it can easily be removed and docked in a permanent dock in the house with its own antenna. What sat radio receiver do you have?

I don't have a sirius setup or sirius stereo yet, I have used the sirius on certain boats we have with the white dash antennas and demo setup.Just wondering if I get one of these type of portable stereos to take to the house/boathouse and what type of antenna.Like this photo?
