If I have a 2009 22Ve and want to add a subwoofer under the drivers compartment, does the perforated cutout leave me with an already assembled sub box enclosure to mount into, or will it just be into free space? I need to know this so i know whether or not i need to buy a normal sub or a "free air" designed one. thank you.

If powered and tuned correctly (I like to be in the 400 watts RMS range), the right Infinite-Baffle sub will make for a well rounded, system with a bit of bump. If you want to ripple water and or kill fish, a 12" in an enclosure is the way to go. The two I like to use, and would recommend (in alphabetical order
) are the Kicker Comp VR 10 and the Wet Sounds XS-10FA. Again, put a solid 400 watts, and they thump pretty good.
The Tige helm wall is an ideal spot for either an infinite-baffle sub or one with an enclosure, so it will come down to your budget, your handyman skilz
, and how much bass you want.

It's always better to push more then the rated RMS, then less and I have no worries about this sub handling the 400, as it's peak is 500. The extra "headroom" gives you the output you seek without having to crank the volume to max.Originally posted by light200 View Posthow r u putting 400W rms to the wetsounds 10" if its only rated for 250rms?
I've heard my share of 10" subs hitting on that 200-250 watts rms range. With 2 pair of cabin speakers on the head-unit, its perfect. With 2 or 3 pair of cabins on an amp, the sub tends to get lost
This is even more compound by the open-air environment of a boat. Put that same sub with 200 watts in a mid-size car, and it rattle the windows.
